Freezor® Xtra

More Power and the Safety of CryoMapping

Part of the Freezor® family, Freezor® Xtra uses the same cryoconsole but is designed to deliver increased cooling power to a larger tip. The increased delivery of refrigerant combined with the increased freezing surface area of its ablation electrode results in optimal ablation performance.

When a Freezor® Xtra catheter is connected to the cryoconsole, the system is pre-programmed to deliver optimal quantities of refrigerant to extract as much heat from the tissue as possible.

Thanks to CryoAdhesion, the catheter tip sticks to the endocardium during the ablation procedure, resulting in enhanced catheter stability. Freezor® Xtra creates endocardial lesions with minimal tissue disruption and minimal thrombus and stenosis.

The CryoMapping advantage

CryoMapping temporarily chills conducting tissue in the target area, creating a transient electrical effect. This allows for precise site testing and confirmation, which is especially critical in peri-nodal procedures.

CryoAdhesion occurs during CryoMapping, ensuring that the catheter tip remains at the target site for a seamless transition to CryoAblation. CryoAdhesion maintains the position of the catheter tip in the beating heart, as the tip firmly attaches to the endocardium upon freezing. The transition from CryoMapping to CryoAblation is made with a quick touch on the cryoconsole screen.

Freezor® Xtra creates endocardial lesions with minimal tissue disruption and minimal risk of thrombus and stenosis.
