Medtronic CryoCath Professional Education and Training

At Medtronic CryoCath, we are committed to Professional Education and Training to help you achieve optimal use of our cryoablation tools. Our goal is to make your lab self-sufficient with our technology and products so you can cryoablate with complete confidence.

We offer a number of training programs to suit your needs: at your lab (onsite), at another location (off-site) or online.

Europe

Onsite training

Our dedicated team of clinical specialists will conduct in-service training with physicians and medical personnel onsite at your lab to ensure you get the most out of our products and technology. There are over 12 dedicated clinical specials in Europe to help you get started with your cryoablation program. This initial in-service training is a mandatory session for all professionals who plan to use our system.

We provide comprehensive onsite training that includes:

  • How to set up, operate, and troubleshoot the console
  • Cryotherapy fundamentals
  • Understanding differences between cryo and radiofrequency ablation
  • Best practices to optimize your experience with cryotherapy

We strongly recommend all EP team members follow this thorough training before your first case. Our highly qualified clinical specialists will be there to assist you in your first cryoablation cases. Typically, it takes five cases for physician and staff members to become self-sufficient in the use of our system; accordingly, we recommend that our clinical specialists attend your first five cases. Subsequently, we repeat the in-service training for lab staff, answer any additional questions, and assess self-sufficiency.

On request, our clinical staff will conduct customized training to fulfill your lab requirements – just ask us! Contact your Medtronic CryoCath Representative for details.

Off-site training

We also offer a number of off-site training programs at premises other than your lab.

Using Arctic Front

Physicians who plan to use Arctic Front must attend a training session prior to using the system. There are multiple training courses offered at experienced centers with expert faculty. The goal of the didactic and observational training sessions is to enable electrophysiologists to safely and effectively utilize the Arctic Front Cardiac CryoAblation catheter with confidence and competence.

There are two types of programs offered: The Arctic Front Masters Program (AFMP) and the Arctic Front Training Program (AFTP).

Arctic Front Masters Program

AFMP is held in two locations: Bad Neustadt, Germany and London, England. During this comprehensive program, physicians will have the opportunity to observe two cases from the EP lab via a live broadcast and get hands-on training with the devices. The session can accomodate up to twenty (20) physicians. For more details on the program and next available training dates, select a training location: Germany | England

Arctic Front Training Program

The AFTP offers a smaller group of physicians the opportunity to observe two cases right in the EP Lab. The training session can accomodate a maximum of four (4) physicians. For more details on the program and the next available training dates, select a training location: Germany | France
