How the Technology Works
Removing heat
To produce cryotherapeutic temperatures, heat energy is removed from the tissue, rather than "injecting" cold energy into it. The minimal ice formation that may occur around the tip of the catheter during CryoTherapy quickly melts away when the cryo application is terminated – posing no threat to break off or occlude small vessels.
